Boy Tuatara have bigger spikes on their backs than girls.
You don't know if a Tuatara is a boy or a girl until it is about 30 years old.
They can live for 200-250 years.
There are Brothers Island Tuataras and Cook Strait Tuataras.
Tuataras have been around since the early Jurassic period.
They are only found in NZ. Tuatara means 'Living Fossil'

What did the tuatara feel like? do you know how old that tuatara was?
How big was the penguin? Do you know how old it was?

ReplyDeleteThe Tuatara felt soft. It was a teenager, about 16 years old. The man who was a Tuatara Scientist said they didn't know yet if it would a boy or a girl.
The penguin was just a baby. It was staying until it had fattened up a bit and then would go back home.
